Arcadia Unified School District - Dana Middle School and Baldwin Stocker
The Arcadia Unified School District decided to undergo a modernization project for
Dana Middle School and Baldwin Stocker Elementary School. The AUSD hired LPA
as the project architect who in turn hired CWE to perform the site civil engineering. The project
included a new building and parking lot improvements at the Baldwin Stocker ES, and a new music
building, a joint use gymnasium, site improvements and modernization at the Dana MS.

prepared demolition, grading and wet utility plans for schematic design, design development, and
construction documents, and a SWPPP. The civil engineering aspect of the projects included grading and drainage modifications, ADA accessibility, utility connections to new/modified buildings, and
parking/drop-off area modifications.
The School District decided to improve the drainage system at
Dana Middle School and asked CWE to design and prepare construction documents for a new storm
drain connection to the Los Angeles County facility in the adjacent street. The improvements will
include an infiltration basin and filtration device to meet the County’s SUSMP requirements.
